Two years have passed since we took the keys to our Funeral Home, the business that had been here for 40 years came to it's natural end and we moved in. Two years on and we are proud to be serving the town I have called home all my life.
Remembering the little stars in Heaven, Baby Loss Awareness Week has begun, we never want to be there for such devastating occasions.... we will be there however and will guide you through the darkness of such a loss.

Carols by Candlelight to remember and give thanks for those we have loved but see no longer. We will dedicate each light on the Christmas Tree to a family we have cared for and remember by name those who can't be with us at Christmastime. There will be Carols and Music, Readings both Sacred and Secular to make this a service for all. We invite everyone to come along and share in the service and refreshments afterwords.
A final ride for a much loved Bike Enthusiast and all round Good Guy.
“Smutty” was joined this week on his final ride by nearly 200 bikers from his local to the crematorium.
A real celebration of everything he loved most.
Family and friends put together a fitting send off and we had the honour of making it happen.

We’re sharing a Minion for the world to smile with today! This minion “Bob” and his friends have brought so much joy to a brave young man who has come to the end of a brave battle.
If at least 10 people would spread a bit of yellow and blue craziness that may show 10 more people that even through the toughest of times something somewhere will help you find a smile.
Did you know, all our coffins are handmade in Somerset? We are very pleased to have both Turners of Henstridge and Musgrove Willows as our providers of quality Coffins, made locally by families for our families and the community.
We have a commitment to support local and will always endeavour to only use suppliers from the Somerset area.
Today we remember everyone who’s lives in some way have been affected by the tragic events of 9/11 without a doubt, this was the beginning 17 years ago that started the evil we live with today. May Peace be with the world and with all who have loved and lost 🕊

A Hero’s farewell - story and photo shared with the generous permission of the family. It is easy to take for granted those who dedicate their lives to keeping us safe, on Thursday Crescent Funeral Services had the great honour of laying to rest one of Taunton’s long serving Fire Fighters. We were supported by the Devon and Somerset Fire Service to provide a respectful and fitting farewell to one of their own. Escorted from Taunton Fire Station through the town he served, Bob Wheeler was met at Taunton Deane Crematorium by a uniformed guard of honour who walked alongside the Hearse to the chapel. On arrival we were greeted by an overwhelming number of guests wanting to pay their respects to this much loved and respected man. This was not only a brigade funeral, this was very much a heartfelt family farewell for a man who was at the centre of a loving family. Even the youngest member of the family took part, Bobs five year old grandson walking alongside the funeral director escorting his “Grandad Bobo” into the chapel and his Grandaughter presenting his Ceremonial Silver Axe. Music and memories of happy times were the focus of this service and those gathered were able to share the odd smile through their sadness. We will always help to create a meaningful and special farewell for all and a Funeral Service a family can look back on with fondness and thanksgiving for a life well lived. Special thanks to Bob's family for allowing us the honour of caring for them and for sharing Bob’s story.
Wishing our young Trainee Funeral Assistant James good luck today with his GCSE results. And all the very best to those who find out their own results today.
The world is your oyster, go get it!! From all of us at Crescent Funeral Services
What an amazing tribute to the great Bruce Forsyth, laid to rest under the stage he loved so much at the London Palladium. This goes to show there are no rules to play by when finding the appropriate place to lay a loved one to rest. Do what feels right!
