Katie Rankin
Funeral Director
Katie has spent her entire working life in the care sector, working with the elderly in their own homes alongside raising her four children. It was during this time that she developed a deep interest in the funeral profession.
Katie went on to work with Co-op Funeralcare, first as a Funeral Arranger in Taunton and later as a Funeral Director in Yeovil, a role she held for three years before moving to the NHS. She then progressed to become a Dementia Unit Manager in a local residential home, where she supported many individuals and their families through the final stages of life. However, after experiencing the services of Crescent Funeral Services for her own family, Katie was reminded of how much she valued working within funeral care. Katie started working at Crescent in March 2025, where she is our Funeral Director covering the Langport and Curry Rivel Homes, integrating herself in the local communities, where she grew up and went to school.
Katie provides the highest of standards and care to the families we look after. He regularly receives extremely positive feedback and praise about the way in which he supports them at their greatest time of need. Feedback is often left on our FuneralGuide page and can be viewed here.
