About Cremation

For many, cremation has become the first choice when arranging the funeral service.

A Funeral Service that is followed by the cremation can be held all at one venue and this is something that many families draw comfort from. The Crematorium Chapel is a very versatile space, allowing a family to create a service and atmosphere appropriate for their loved one. The Crematorium has a range of options that allow for additions such as music, traditional organist, visual tributes with photographs and videos, as well as the recording of the whole service and production of a DVD.

Some families decide to have a thanksgiving service before or after the cremation takes place at a different venue, such as a church or place of significance. There is no requirement to attend the Crematorium at any time if you decide not to.

Cremated Remains are received following the cremation and a family can choose how they lay the Cremated Remains or as many call them 'Ashes', to rest whether this be a the Crematorium, Cemetery, Woodland or taken away to be scattered in a place of significance to the person who has died.

There are many options available where a small amount of the ashes are used to create a piece of jewellery or other lasting keepsake.

Less formal memorials as well as traditional memorials can be commissioned to mark the resting place.
